P365:OU Week 2

We've come to a very sad realization in this photographic journey of ours: our camera's sensor may need replacing. Or cleaning. Hoping it only needs cleaning...but I'll prepare myself for the worst just in case. It seems that no matter what the subject matter or the surroundings the light and focus on the camera refuses to cooperate. Mid-day outside? For some reason the camera refuses to be on settings any less than 3200 ISO and as high a shutter speed as possible. THAT'S not right. Focusing on something 3 feet away? It wants to go to macro mode. Go in for a macro shot? No focus, at all, assumes I'm taking a sports photo. VERY frustrated with this new development. There was no gradual decline or anything. It was working fine one day, settings could be quite normal and pictures would turn out great. All of a sudden, BAM! All photos insta-suck.
So this week has been very hard for us. Lighting we can handle, to a degree, as long as we don't mind looking like we have jaundice (sp?) or like we're zombies. But blurry photos? Seriously? We're having to take about 20 pictures a night to guarantee we'll get one that isn't blurry. And naturally all the ones we like are fine on camera and crap once on the computer screen.

As you can see, this might hurt our plans a little. We need to check our protection plan (I'm pretty sure we have sensor cleaning on there, but I want to make sure) and hopefully we won't be camera-less for too long. Assuming we ever get around to taking it in. But if we skip a few days or a week now you'll know why. Until then, here are some of the photos from week 2:

8/5/11

8/6/11 - Naptime

8/7/11 - JT fail. He couldn't figure out the self-timer. Or that blinking means a picture is about to be taken.

8/8/11

8/9/11

8/10/11

8/11/11 - Taking advantage of our friends' balcony while over at their house for game night.
