P365:OU Week 27

Oh dear. Truffle is having a really hard day. A knock comes upon our door bright and early in the morning to alert JT that he needs to move his vehicle. Apparently they're removing/replacing the power pole near where we park.

We decided last night that with all the recent sunshine it's more beneficial to take down the "curtains" than to leave them up.

This combination is not doing too well for Miss Truffle Butt.

All morning she's been stalking dust motes, jumping at every shadow, and mewing her "I'm stuck in the refridgerator" mew (don't know about that? I posted it on here didn't I?), scared out of her mind over what the sudden sunlight is doing. She has no clue what to do about Fred (we put Fred, our houseplant, in the craft room over the winter since we keep that door closed and the blinds open, thus allowing him to continue photosynthesizing to his heart's content), who has been put back near the back door. Which is HER spot, by the way. She doesn't know what to do about her water fountain, which now reflects sunlight back at her. And don't get me started on the way she's been jumping and puffing up her tail every time she sees the slightest movement in shadows.

Add to that the noise (and I do mean NOISE) of the truck that's removing the power pole and all the scary people outside she can now see and...well...she needs an Ambien or Prozac or whatever it is that people get addicted to that's supposed to mellow them out.

Poor baby girl :-(

1/27/12

1/28/12 - Yes, those are his headphones. I "interrupted" his WOW time to make sure we got a photo.

1/29/12 - Yeah, we're pretty...

1/30/12 - So, about this. We decided that this is our Truffle Hat photo (kick off list). The photo was inspired by an episode of Willa's Wild Life, which is my favorite kids cartoon...or not. It's a tie between that and Jane and the Dragon. Anyway, Truffle has become accustomed to riding on our backs like we're mules and she's Cleopatra. Blame JT for starting that one. The only thing is...she loves eating my hair. So this game has become less of a game and more of a full-blown attack on my hair every chance she gets. She's eating it in this picture. Not licking it, not letting it slide through her mouth. Oh no, she's actually chomping off bits of my hair and eating it. Can't wait to tell my next hairdresser about why my layers are all wonky.

Normalcy after getting hair eaten. Note how it's sticking out all funny.

1/31/12 - Cute, right?

2/1/12 - JT thinks he's pretty awesome now that he has Le Meow. Who was totally snorting in his ear.

2/2/12 - Wish I knew what I said to deserve this look.

2/3/12 - Reading! JT was so miffed that he had to stop to go to work.

Truffle in the window, watching the construction truck drive in. This was one of the very few times this morning she sat still and was not panicking.
