Alright all you knitters and crocheters!!! It's time to get hooking!
Craft Hope's new project is up and this time we're making red scarves. They will go to kids who "age out" of the foster care program. I actually knew a girl at one of my other schools who aged out of the foster care program and the way the state handled things made it extremely difficult for her to go to college. Took her two years to get in due to a ton of legal junk. Being in is bad enough but leaving it complicates quite a few teens lives when they leave due to being too old as opposed to being adopted. With this cold weather the least we can do is give them something warm and handmade :-D
So I'm challenging all of you again! Make a new friend AND make a scarf!
